Services and Offerings
As a death doula, I support a person holistically, and non-medically, as well as their circle of care as they approach end of life. My approach is to walk alongside clients, bringing what I know about the end of life care system, and meeting them where they are to discover what they need as they transition to the end of their life. This could include...
• Assisting with Advance Planning, helping you document preferences & wishes for the end of life.
• Exploring key decisions such as where you would like to spend your final days and who will provide your care.
• Helping you and those close to you navigate local health and social care services, as well as other supports we identify through advance planning.
• Providing practical help, such as running errands, light housework, organizing the home for at-home care, attending medical appointments with you, or assisting with ‘life admin’.
• Offering ongoing support in your home and working alongside healthcare professionals in hospitals, hospices, and care homes.
• 1-1 conversations about death to reduce fear and loneliness.
• Providing companionship and someone to talk to, or simply to providing a reassuring presence in the home/hospice to allow family to rest.
• Facilitating family meetings to discuss plans, make decisions, and address questions or concerns that arise as you approach end of life.
• Assisting with formalities after death, including registration and funeral planning.
• Continuing to offer emotional support for the bereaved in the initial weeks after death.
My practice does not include personal care, celebrant services, medical support or legal advice.
